Borrows its shapes from our “Dovetail” pattern (2021), but arranges them liberally and without rules, rotating, mirroring and chopping them up to suit the composition. Special care has been paid to the interplay of the negative spaces—or ‘kerning’—formed between these characters.

The composition feels loose but retains the regimented character of the shapes themselves.

This new version of "Keel" for 2023 also features a colour inversion halfway up, creating further tension between negative and positive space. This also creates the impression of a distorted reflection over water—a recurring theme in this year's collection.
